Privacy Policy

CutMatch Hair is a search tool. It is built to need as little personal information as possible, and there is no account to create.
What stays on your device
Your saved stylists and the last location you searched from are stored in your own browser's local storage. They are not sent to us, not attached to an identity, and not shared. Clearing your browser data removes them.
What you send us
We only receive information you deliberately type into a form:
- Profile claims — stylist name, salon, your name, email, optional phone, and the links and corrections you provide.
- Edit suggestions — the correction you are reporting and, if you choose, an email so we can follow up.
- Stylist recommendations — details about the stylist you are recommending and an optional email.
- Reviews — your rating, the cut you received, your written review, the date of your visit and an optional first name.
- Contact messages — your name, email and message.
These are stored in moderation queues that only administrators can read. They are used to review and improve listings, and to reply to you. We do not sell them, and we do not use them for marketing.
Search itself
Typing a town or ZIP code resolves to coordinates in a gazetteer bundled with the site. The site does not request your device's GPS location, and location lookups do not leave your browser.
Stylist information
Profiles are compiled from public professional sources — salon team pages, published portfolios and professional directories. If you are a stylist and would like your profile corrected or removed, use Claim This Profile or Suggest an Edit on your profile, or write to us at support@cutmatchhair.com or via the contact page. Removal requests are honoured.
Reviews and publication
Submitted reviews are not published automatically. A moderator reads each one first. If a review is published, the written text, star rating, haircut and any first name you supplied may be shown publicly; your email address is never published.
Cookies and analytics
CutMatch Hair does not set advertising cookies and does not run third-party ad tracking. The site registers a service worker so it can load quickly and work offline; that is a browser cache, not a tracker.
Third-party links
Booking links, Instagram profiles and salon websites are operated by other companies with their own privacy policies. Following one of those links takes you outside CutMatch Hair.
Your choices
You can clear saved stylists at any time by clearing site data in your browser. To ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted, email support@cutmatchhair.com or use the contact page.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the updated date at the top of this page will change.
Contact
Privacy questions, access requests and deletion requests go to support@cutmatchhair.com.
